Venkat Prabhu's Next Project

Venkat Prabhu’s Saroja has captured the imagination of this generation of Tamil moviegoers and it has even been dubbed into Telugu. Most shows are running houseful around the cities even such a long time after its release. Inspired by the Hollywood flick, Judgement Night (1993), this film is noted for its slick storytelling and even more crisp technical qualities, all of which meld together to form a true classic.

But Venkat Prabhu isn’t resting on his laurels; he has gone on a spree of story discussions for his future projects. Goa, his next venture, is already in the pipeline produced by Warner Bros and Soundarya Rajnikanth’s Ochre Studios, and is all set to launch at the fag end of 2008. Pre-production work is on right now.

He will also be doing a movie under his father, Gangai Amaran’s banner Mother Grace Pictures.

You can do lot of interesting stuff with Google Talk like get alert notifications, save bookmarks to delicious, manage web calendars, set reminders, write blogs, and so much more.

1. imfeeds@gmail.com - Add this Im Feeds bot as your Google Talk buddy and you’ll be able to read any blog or website that syndicates content via RSS feeds. To subscribe to a website in GTalk, simply send a new IM message that says "sub labnol.org" where labnol.org is the site address that you want to read inside Google Talk.

2. friendfeed@bot.im - This secret bot lets you post to FriendFeed Google Talk. You may submit either hyperlinks or text messages.

Now if you want to get a reminder after 50 minutes, send a direct message to twitter like "d timer 50 pick kids from school" and a reminder will automatically pop up in your Google Talk after 50 minutes.

8. Transliteration - If you want to chat in your mother tongue (like Hindi or Tamil) but feel more comfortable using the English keyboard, Google Transliteration bot will come in handy. For instance, add en2hi.translit@bot.talk.google.com to you friend’s list in GTalk and all messages you type in English will get transliterated in the language of your choice. Available only for a few Indian languages.

9. Xpenser - With xpenser, you can record travel expenses email, SMS or even Google talk. Add xpenserbot@gmail.com as your buddy and send a message like "lunch 33.2 with Bill Gates" and that will be added as an expense to your online spreadsheet that can be accessed from anywhere.

10. Ping.fm - Like Imified, ping.fm is one of the most useful Google bots out there especially if you are a social networking or micro-blogging addict. Add pingdotfm@gmail.com to Gtalk and you can communicate with twitter, jaiku, wordpress, identi.ca, facebook, myspace, bebo, friendfeed, linkedin, tumblr, plaxo, friendster, delicious and more.

11. Meshly - Add meshly@gmail.com as your friend and you’ll be able to post web link to your Meshly account via Google Talk. You can also add tags, categories and description to your hyperlink via Gtalk itself.

Angelina's Next adoption

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt already have six children, but that's not stopping the couple from looking ahead to another addition to the family. During an interview this Thursday morning on NBC's "Today" show, the actress said she and Brad are considering adopting another child.

When asked "Soon?" she nodded, confirming his question. Angelina attempted to skirt further questions about the possible adoption, but noted, "You can't even start the process until any new children are six months old, to understand how the new family has settled."

As for the oldest member of the Jolie-Pitt brood, Angelina said six-year-old son Maddox is "the professional big brother" of the family because "he's done it so many times." Angelina went on to note that due to her children's ages, adding new members to the family is an easy adjustment.

"We have so many children that they're not really stunned anymore when kids come home," she told Matt. "They're all at that great age that they are not threatened. They're independent. They don't need Mommy and Daddy all the time." Not only are new people a breeze for Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shilo, Vivienne and Knox, but new places are also a joy, according to the actress.

"So far, we've moved them a lot, and they like moving," Angelina said when asked if they would continue to move around the globe.

Angelina may enjoy life on the go, but she did note a constant she needs in her life -- partner Brad. "I met the right person," she said of the 44-year-old actor. "I don't like being without him."

Amitabh in Kollywood

It is heard that Soundarya Rajinikanth, who owns Ocher Studios, is very eager to work with Amitabh Bachchan and also that Rajinikanth had a discussion with the Big B a month ago in this regard. Apparently, following the discussion, Amitabh Bachchan had agreed to meet Soundarya and hold discussions, but unfortunately he fell sick and no meeting could place. But the surmise is that he will meet her after recuperating from his illness; Big B suffered colitis and a blockage in his large intestine, but has almost recovered.

Well, this is not the first time that Kollywood is trying to include Big B in its films. While director Shankar and Rajinikanth were involved in the brainstorming sessions for Sivaji, they both decided to include Amitabh Bachchan in the film and even approached the stalwart, who was unable to accept due to his other projects and commitments, but the star had promised he would definitely make it in future.

Amitabh and Rajni are old friends and have acted together in a couple of Hindi films – Hum and Giraftaar (also had Kamal Haasan).

spiderman 4 and 5

Tobey Maguire and Sam Raimi are looking to spin more webs for Sony’s Columbia Pictures. The actor and helmer are said to be close to locking in a deal to return for the fourth and fifth installments of the studio’s top-grossing “Spider-Man” franchise, with Laura Ziskin and Avi Arad producing.

In hopes of containing costs, Columbia is considering shooting the films back-to-back starting in fall 2009, much like New Line did with “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy, which filmed simultaneously for 274 days. Ziskin had said she would like to aim for a May 2011 release for “Spider-Man 4,” nine years after the original movie’s debut. Jamie Vanderbilt (”Zodiac”) is writing the screenplay.

“Spider-Man” is Sony’s most successful movie franchise; the first three films have grossed $2.5 billion worldwide. Although there has been speculation whether Maguire would return to play Peter Parker, the studio said there was no question he would be back.

“The studio never considered any other actor. Tobey was our only choice and the only person we’ve discussed the role with,” Sony spokesman Steve Elzer said. Both Maguire and Raimi are repped by CAA.

The studio declined comment on what villains might appear in the next two films or whether Kirsten Dunst would reprise her role as Mary Jane Watson, though it is hoped she will follow Maguire’s lead and return.

Sony also has stepped up developing the “Spider-Man” spinoff “Venom,” first recruiting writer Jacob Estes to draft a script and most recently bringing in scribes Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, who penned “Zombieland” for the studio.

Topher Grace played Venom in “Spider-Man 3,” but it’s unclear whether Sony would cast him for the “Venom” feature or bring in new talent. - Story from ghosthousepictures.com.

Hulk The Villain In Avengers Movie

Now that the initial stages have been set, with Iron Man and The Hulk having already hit the screen this year, Marvel is good to go with setting up The Avengers movie when Captain America and Thor hit the screen. But who would The Avengers fight?

Louis Leterrier spoke about The Hulk being the main bad guy in The Avengers movie. This was brought up before a few months ago, so it's not really new news, but it is something at least the film makers and writers are looking at:

"Iron Man” writers Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby, who themselves may be writing another Marvel movie in the near future, couldn't agree more, they told MTV News, insisting that everything is building towards making The Hulk the villain in the eagerly anticipated 2011 movie.

“I hope ‘The Avengers’ embraces that,” Fergus said of having the Hulk as misunderstood baddie. “You don’t want like 10 super-bad ass good guys fighting together. Where’s the fun in that? Let’s break it off a little. Friends or colleagues who become enemies is always an interesting thing because you know it’s based on love and friendship and that’s always the worst thing to have turn bad — is someone you actually care about and someone you actually believe in.”

Hulk, of course, has fought nearly every Marvel hero at some point in the comics, and because he already had his own movie, wouldn’t need to be set-up in the new one. In fact, all the hard work is already done.

“I left the door open for whoever’s going to direct ‘The Avengers’ with our last shot. Edward [Norton] and I, we consciously decided to make the last shot of the movie when he opens his eyes and he smirks at the camera,” Leterrier told us. “Is he enjoying it? Is he malicious? That’s what’s great about Edward. You don’t know if he’s a good guy or bad guy. He’s always on this edge and we have been sort of surfing that edge, that very thin edge during the entire movie.”

I'd love to see Thor and Hulk go at it while Captain America stands there and throws his stupid shield and barks orders at everyone, finally ending with Iron Man shooting a repulsor ray right up his ass while Ant Man flies into his pee pee hole and grows to full size as Giant Man. That would hurt!

Vikram :

Vikram on completing his super hero role in "kandaswamy" he is now aL set to start his first ever project with Mani Ratnam.Mani Ratnam is making this film in Hindi and Tamil. The Tamil version features Vikram in the lead role and pairs him up with Aishwarya Rai, Prithviraj plays the villain.

Karthik :

After a long time, actor Karthik will work with Mani Ratnam, who made him a household name with Mouna Ragam and Agni Natchathiram.

The Hindi version features Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai in the lead. Vikram makes his Bollywood debut in this version; he will reprise the role done by Prithviraj in Tamil.

Aishwarya Rai :

The former Miss World who rejected many of her tamil offers is now plying the female lead role in two consecutive tamil ventures. She pairs up with Superstar in "Robot" by Shankar and with Vikram in the bilingual film by Mani Ratnam.

Meanwhile, the miss world is happy to work with the super start who is a family friend of her father-in-law. She also added that she has heard her father-in-law (Amitabh Bachchan) praising Rajinikanth’s humility, but when she witnessed it in person, she could not believe her eyes. She also added that she considers Rajinikanth a “wonder man”, who has managed to be so simple despite being the most popular film star.

Ramarajan is Back

Panicked??? Shocked??? burst out into laughter???? Ya probably many of us would have on hearing the words "Ramarajan is back". I'm not trying to fool you or trying to show my sense of humour . Its a cen percent true information that he is gonna play a lead role in his on coming project "Medhai".

The well known karagattakkaran hero is joining hands with N.T.G. Saravanan ( an assistant to director Hari ) thew creator of Medhai. Most of the cast and crew have been decided except the pair for our super hero!!!!.

The super hero has reported that music by Dhina and the comedy track by Vadivel are the major highlights of Medhai. He is so much excited about his come back to films and he is sure that Medhai will give him the much needed break.

Need for speed Undercover

To no one's surprise, EA is set to release the next installment in the Need for Speed franchise later this year in the form of Need for Speed: Undercover. In an interview Electronic Arts CEO John Riccitiello said that the title is in development from one of EA Vancouver's two NFS teams. He also hinted that its inspiration comes from movies like The Transporter, though we'll have to wait and see what he means by that.


The single previous Need for Speed team was split into two last year to allow each of the two teams more time to create yearly updates for the franchise. Rather than giving one team only 12 months to create the next installment, each team would now have a full two years, with the teams trading release years, obviously. Being that the team was only split last year, the Undercover team will only have a little over 16 months to create the title, but the extra breathing room must certainly welcome in any case.

In the interview, Riccitiello also discussed his disappointment with last year's Need for Speed ProStreet, and said that the reason for splitting the team into to two was to help insure that future titles would actually be a worthy experience.

No consoles were specified for Undercover, but given the franchise's history, we'd expect to see it hit every major system.

In early 80's, during a research in birth-control laboratory it has been discovered that "Coca - Cola douches" are being used as some kind of contraception. These are used by the exotic lap dancers when they are at the peak of fertility.

To continue, tests have been done with four different types of Coke with sperm, a minute later diet coke proved to be so effective in killing sperms as all were dead and 41 % were seemed to be alive in the just introduced New Coke.

You all know that October 2nd marks the birth anniversary of the " Father of the Nation ". I would like to add some more details about the day and also about our Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi.

This time the Nation will be celebrating the 139th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on 2nd October '08.

October 2 also holds global significance. The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) announced on 15 June 'o7 that it has adopted an Indian resolution to declare Gandhiji’s birthday, as the International Day of Non-Violence.

This day in the history of our great nation has also given another leader who stands tall. Former prime minister, the man of principles, Lal Bahadur Shastri also shares his birth date with the Father of the Nation.
