Happy Birthday Vivek

Comedian Vivek made his debut through Manadhil Urudhi Vendumdirected by K. Balachander in 1987. The actor played only small roles in the beginning, but his hard work brought him to the limelight and the actor played a separate comedy track in many films. The star comedian appeared as a close ally to the hero or the heroine. Slowly, the chief comedian's role extended to include a band of junior comedians too. Cell Murugan is one of Vivek's closest associates on the big screen. Between them, there is quite a bit of timing, understanding and comic chemistry.

Writer Prasanna Kumar pens the script for Vivek's parts for all his movies. Most of the references in his dialogues are drawn from everyday situations and happenings. Vivek's comedy in films plays a vital part. This five-time Filmfare award winner is blessed with a happy family comprising his wife and three daughters. The actor was recently given the Padma Shri award.
