Chennai Lions are hungry for success

Chennai Super Kings - The Lions den, this team with no iconic player from the city, did an unthinkable job by being the highest bidder in the competition outplaying RIL’s Mumbai for M.S.Dhoni. With a good expertise of knowledge about the game in the city, it will surely be a crowd-puller in this part of the country. Even if they had chosen some other player as its icon, the Chennai team would still have the full support of its crowd.

A team with top class batsmen and bowlers of variant talents around the globe, holding the trophy should not be a big challenge. This team is the one with perfect balance of experience and fresh minds. With big names such as Dhoni, Hayden, Murali and Hussey the team remains to be the favorite of all. Fan following is one great advantage of Chennai Super Kings. Chennai is the place where people worship the game. Varying from small kids to old aged people everyone has the same craze for the game since years.

For a team that was a finalist in 2008 and semi-finalist in 2009, these are hard days with the task of making it to the top four, much less winning the tournament, getting increasingly difficult. What is going wrong for the team, the bowling combination that has turned out to be playing the see-saw, not knowing which bowler would let the team down with one bad over. To top it, the batting, considered to be their strength, has not been firing consistently.

It is time for the Chennai Lions to unsheathe their claws and go for the kill. After all, they seem to be hungry for success.
